Data collection is very important for teachers to use hen it comes to calculating test scores or acquiring data for various tasks. Excel is an easy way to set up a formula to coincide  with the data being put into the excel sheet. Since I would like to teach high school drama, this data collection could be useful for calculating ticket sales for shows I would direct or to account for fundraisers we would do as classes to have enough money to purchase rights for a show. I found it interesting to see how they would use the same tools I would but for elementary purposes. The same way I would use Diigo may not be the most helpful for students in lower grades since reading comprehension isn't fully mastered yet. however, Diigo could also work for middle school instruction since that is around the time research papers would be introduced.  Even though I am fully capable of working Publisher, I would like to see other options I could use when it comes to publisher....

I know of certain students at my old high school that used devices like hearing aids and wheelchairs. These devices improve their educational ability to learn. However, some of these technologies can be cumbersome. Yet, this shouldn't stop their use. As time goes on, the technology develops and becomes more compact and easier to access. A lot  of these things are also expensive and puts a great financial burden on the family that did nothing to deserve them. How PowerPoint helps at every step of Bloom's Taxonomy: Remember: PowerPoint can be used for review of facts from earlier lessons. Like Jeopardy Understand: This is a great way to display the information in front of the class in a very visual way. The most basic purpose of a PowerPoint. Apply: This could be used on a slide where you give instructions on something to do with what you learned. How to easily supply directions on tasks. Analyze: You can add a video to the power point to ...

Twitter has been a great way to post up accomplishments I've had in my future education career. I recently just completed my first application  to work at my old high school back home as the drama teacher, a position just right for me. I also walked in the gun control rally in response to the Parkland shooting and heard many students from that school speak out. I then continued on to lobby in the capitol building as a part of the crowd backing up the survivors so they could speak to senators and representatives. This was good way to put my voice out there and to use Twitter as a way of standing with others. I already have a personal website on wix, but this was new working with Weebly. it was similar but different in some of the layout. I personally find Wix to be sleeker and more professional and more customizable. The website turned out fine and with more time, it'd be a great tool to use for real in the future. ( Website ) Diigo would be a great tools to use fo...

https://spaldinghighfinearts.weebly.com/ This is the Fine Arts weebly page for my high school back home, Spalding High School. On here, you can access pages that talk about upcoming events to watch out for, explore different departments with information to contact the teacher, and even see a full detailed calendar of everything coming up. The page is headed by the Fine Arts chair, Brett Duncan. He uses graphic design to attract the reader and creates a user-friendly interface for both student and parent. This page is for 9-12 high school and specifically for those in the fine arts or interested in the fine arts.  I would like to create something similar. Having one page for various things gives ease of access and limits the amount of searching needed to be done by an individual for information. I would like to see a spot where the separate teachers of the fine arts be able to add content relating to homework or take home materials. During our trip to the Sandbox, I...

Assignment 3: Web Source Evaluation

playscripts.com Playscripts is an easily accessible website that allows its audience to scroll through plays and musicals, specifically written fro high school, to explore different shows. This site has a tool to narrow down searches and allow the audience member read a large portion of the play. This website also gives educators the options of licensing the show to produce it for the stage. This website is great for students to access and possibly help in the selection process of the show for that year. There is great accuracy in the tool bar and creates a workable interface. https://dramaresource.com/ Drama resource is a large database for accessing multiple things that can add to a drama class in high school. Certain theatre games are made available for use in the classroom. There is also a large collection of lesson plans the choose from for multiple aspects of theatre. This website is originally intended for UK classrooms but can easily be changed for a more adaptable lesson...

Some websites that allow teachers to easily communicate with students and allow them to reach out are great tools for use in the classroom. Designing a wiki page for students to figure out homework sites or for them to download important documents when they lose them are also helpful in expediting classroom  time with having certain questions already answered online. Scribd is a great tools for transporting documents and giving access to large texts of readings to the class. This application can support large documents and creates and easy interface to read the document. (scribd.com) Right now, certain instruments like VR and Google glass are great tools to give students access when access isn't easy to grasp. Field trips get expensive and taking large groups to certain places can be risky for safety. Creating a virtual world for them to experience these places without ever leaving the classroom will enlighten certain students the don't normally have the ability.
